I research current and emerging uses of social media, in particular use cultures and practices on Facebook and transmedial world engagement on social media platforms. I am also interested in how users engage with politicians and cultural institutions on social media platforms, and how these institutions have adopted and could adopt their communication to fit these new communicative environments. More recently, I have also started to examine more closely the use and spreading of viral content and memes on Facebook.
