Two methods of variational deinterlacing are presented, the first is motion adaptive and has in its earlier stages of development been presented in a paper at the 5th Scale-Space Conference (2005), the second one is motion compensated ans has been presented in a shorter version in a paper at the 3rd SMVP workshop held in conjunction withECCV 2006.
