Project Details
Description
The project aims to develop design principles for augmenting and automating manufacturing control with AI in highly regulated industries. By focusing on two production units at Novo Nordisk, we will create AI systems that support production control teams by processing large data volumes, providing real-time insights, and enhancing decision-making while ensuring compliance. The project will reduce the need for night shifts, enhancing employee well-being and operational efficiency. For the research community, this project offers novel contributions by developing principles for AI-based augmentation across similar processes (process families), addressing both the complexities of regulation and the need for human-AI collaboration. The use of Action Design Research (ADR) ensures that the solutions are grounded in real-world applications, advancing understanding in the fields of AI, human augmentation, and industrial process optimization.
