Project Details
Description
The importance of command and control (C2) in the conduct of operations in all areas is undisputed. With the increasing interconnection of the most diverse systems, the importance of a central C2 system that gathers all available data and thus presents the situation while allowing an operator to send orders to units and systems is also increasing.
A new C2 system is being acquired and the choice of supplier and type has already been made. What is missing is a complete training and testing system that allows on the one hand to train operators with realistic and dynamic scenarios and on the other hand to stimulate the C2 system itself with realistic scenarios and data and thus test it under realistic conditions, sometimes even to the specified limits, including the underlying communication networks.
The aim of this project is to investigate and apply new solutions for decision support.
For this purpose, classical, rule-based methods as well as the latest methods of artificial intelligence will be taken into account in order to reproduce the realistic behaviour of own and enemy units
