Research areas

 

Nico Wunderlich is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business IT at the IT University of Copenhagen and heads ITU's BUILD lab of data innovation. His research assesses the digital disruption of business strategies, organizational culture, and knowledge work settings. Nico analyzes primarily quantitative data on how companies are driving digital value creation. 

His research investigates digital value co-creation at the intersection of social and technical subsystems. Studies Nico contributed to explore digital business strategies, IT leadership, and IT capabilities, embedded in the fluidity of today's digital ecodynamics. His research emerges from the triangle of business administration, IT, and organizational psychology, drawing from a background in big data analytics as well as traditional statistics.

Nico holds a PhD in Information Systems from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. At its House of Finance, he also acted as personal assistant to the Chairman of the efl - the Data Science Institute, a public-private partnership attracting research founding from industry. During his PhD, he spent a Fellow Research Scholarship at the City University of Hong Kong in the Department of Information Systems and the School of Creative Media.
