Abstract

This paper unearths the zombie futures in the mobile telecoms industry, from the watchphone to the ever-pervasive notion of ‘ubiquity’ – all futures that never seem to die. It explores the practices by which the industry creates futures that endure over long periods of time, and points to different, experimental, approaches to innovation that might be done.
