Abstract
We set out in this book to emphasise the importance of an interdisciplinary reading of knowledge practices in health—whether oral, written, or digital—and the ways in which these practices have intersected with power structures, forces of standardisation, and medical pluralism, at various moments in Ghana’s history. Centrally, we were convinced that there remains a need to address the historical gap that exists in the literature on health in Ghana and elsewhere.
