Beskrivelse

How much online hate is there in the EU, and how compliant are platforms with domestic and EU legislation?

There are regular monitoring exercises to check how well platforms remove illegal content. However, although some 26 EU + Associated states have monitoring programs that participate in pre-announced and unannounced evaluations of platform content moderation, Denmark has been out of the loop since 2018.

This project will fund Danish participation in the next monitoring exercises and use the information gained to shape abusive content recognition data & tool development. This shaping information is crucial because the target changes rapidly, and data becomes stale very quickly; so, longitudinal information helps us better adapt our models. And perhaps even could lead to new general methods for handling this kind of feature distribution drift.
